Coconut Oil Benefits for Hair

  •     Dandruff control (due to the fact that it is anti-bacterial)
  •     Adds body and shine to dull lifeless hair
  •     Moisturizes, softens and conditions dry hair and scalp
  •     Strengthens hair from inside the shaft.
  •     Prevents split ends
  •     Smooths roughness in the hair
  •     Increases hair growth (because of less damage and breakage)
  • Separate an egg and beat the white until it’s foamy. Mix with 6 tablespoons of natural yogurt. Massage into the hair and leave for 15 – 30 minutes. Wash out with a very mild shampoo.
  • Mash a ripe banana and add a few drops of almond oil. Mix well and massage into your hair. Leave for 15 – 30 minutes. Wash out with gentle shampoo.
  • Mash the flesh of one ripe avocado. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until creamy and then apply to your hair. Leave for 20 minutes and then wash out with a gentle shampoo.
  • Mash 1 avocado and mix with mayonnaise. Apply to your clean hair and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. You’ll get the best effect if you use a shower cap, plastic wrap or warm towel to add some body heat to the process. Rinse off.Take shea butter and place in a container (small one is good) heat for 30 seconds to melt the butter. Pour in aloe vera gel Then pour in coconut oil until a creamy consistency. Then place top on container and let it cool and solidify and apply to hair after shampooing

    1. Vinegar- either 1 tbsp while you since or add 2 cups water with 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar for a frizz free dandruff killing rinse
    2. Egg- whip up an egg but be careful of water temperture- the egg could poach right on your scalp! 
    3. Brush Less- especially for CURLY HAIR, use a wide tooth comb and NEVER brush when wet
    4. Good Heat- too much blow drying/heat styling will ruin hair, but lather some hot oils and cover head with a cap & feel how smooth your hair will be
    5. Skip the Shampoo, Condition every time- Dry hair should be shampooed about 2-3 times a week at most, but if you sweat and need that hot shower just lather on the conditioner, no shampoo
    6. Pads of fingers, no nails- Grandma may have told you to dig the scum out with your nails—wrong— gently massage the scalp with the pads of your fingers, this keeps hair from breaking and tearing
    7. Try Paper- Towel drying is so popular with dry hair to avoid the heat damage from blow dryers- but even towels can break and dry hair, try using a paper towel to scrunch that hair, it’s not as rough and absorbs faster
    8. Get more haircuts- clipping those dry ends more often will help keep your mop lively and energized
    9. Heavy on the Mayo- I know it’s gross but take the mayo your brother smears on his sandwich and lather your hair up in it- there are also Cholesterol Tubs which is similar consistency as regular Mayo
    10. Glaze it up- Make sure whenever your get a dye job always make sure your stylist/colorist uses a protecting glaze that will help your hairs strength & shine
